The Dazzle Dry Reviews Are True: It Really Is the Best Quick-Drying Polish Out There
Few things have converted me into a believer like Dazzle Dry reviews. I’m a huge fan of having a fresh manicure, usually donning a seasonal color. Sometimes, I even get a bit creative and hand-paint designs or use nail decals for extra oomph. Even though it takes forever and it’s a rather expensive hobby, I love painting my nails. And I’ve learned that doing your nails at home is a great way to save time and money. After all, I’m a bona fide beauty journalist—and my primary goal is finding beauty hacks that’ll save you time, money, or both.
I learned about Dazzle Dry during my tenure at wellness site Well+Good, when the nail care brand gifted me its System Kit along with a handful of quick-dry polishes. The brand’s team sent me staples like Prima Ballerina (a super sheer and light pink) and Fast Track Cherry (a gorgeous deep red). I try my best not to make sweeping declarations as an unbiased beauty reporter. But the Dazzle Dry reviews are all true: This is a product you just shouldn’t live without.

Dazzle Dry Reviews
Even as someone who was knowledgeable about the beauty industry, it was hard to wrap my head around what Dazzle Dry was. That said, I’ve been using this nail system since 2021—so I’d consider myself somewhat of an expert on it at this point. Below are answers to some of the most pressing questions people have about Dazzle Dry.
What Is Dazzle Dry Nail Polish?
Dazzle Dry nail polish, which the brand refers to as nail lacquer, is a vegan, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, and non-toxic alternative to gel polish. Like its gel counterpart, Dazzle Dry is quick-drying, with a dry time of about five minutes. Even better, it’s formulated without using harsh chemicals, and it’s designed to fortify and protect your nails.
How Does Dazzle Dry Work?
Dazzle Dry is different from other nail polishes not just in how it’s formulated but also in how it’s applied. While you can apply the polish without using the whole system, it won’t be as shiny or long-lasting. So to walk y’all through how Dazzle Dry works, it’s important to break it down step by step.
Step 1: Nail Prep
The very first step in the Dazzle Dry process is nail prep. According to the instructions, you should use a lint-free cotton pad and a few drops of the nail primer/strengthener solution the brand provides. This helps remove any excess oil or dirt that may prevent the polish from adhering properly to your nail.
I love how thoughtful the design of this bottle is. To keep the product from spilling, you twist the top to the left to lock the bottle. And when you turn it to the right, it unlocks the top—but you need to press down on the dispenser to get any product. It’s genius.
Step 2: Base Coat
Once your nails are clean, you’ll apply two layers of base coat. Make sure that you go from the nail bed all the way over to the free edge of the nail. This will prevent the product from lifting, effectively keeping your manicure fresh. It truly is the best base coat of all the base coats.
One thing to note about the Dazzle Dry Base Coat, though, is that it contains polymers that harden in cooler temperatures. This means that, especially in winter and fall, you’ll need to “melt” your base coat into an opaque liquid. Luckily, this is easy to do. You basically just have to place the bottle of base coat into a bowl of hot water.
Step 3: Nail Lacquer
Step three is where the Dazzle Dry process gets really fun, because you can finally see your new manicure come together. Like the base coat, you’ll want to apply two coats of nail lacquer on the nail bed and free edge to prevent peeling. Be sure that the first coat of polish fully dries before applying the second one.
(And in case you were wondering, there are tons of amazing colors to choose from. In addition to the two I mentioned in the intro, other faves include Fern, which is an earthy green; Milky Way, a cosmic and glittery pink; and Midnight Sky, a lovely blue that’s on the deeper side.)
Step 4: Top Coat
Once the second coat of nail lacquer has dried completely, it’s time to apply the top coat. You’ll only need one layer of top coat, which will dry in five minutes. And once it’s dry, it’s as hard as regular gel—meaning you have lower chances of messing up your mani.
How Long Does Dazzle Dry Last?
In my experience, Dazzle Dry can last up to two weeks. That said, I don’t spend a lot of time in the water, washing dishes, or getting my hands dirty. If your job requires you to use your hands a lot, it’s likely that your nails will last a little bit over a week. I know it doesn’t seem like it’s that much better than a regular gel manicure, but hear me out. You get extra wear out of your Dazzle Dry manicure no matter what. And unlike gel nails, you can easily remove Dazzle Dry with a normal nail polish remover. No aluminum foil required.
Does Dazzle Dry Damage Nails?
No, Dazzle Dry doesn’t inherently damage nails. This is especially true because it doesn’t peel off like traditional gel does. However, there may be some damage to your nail if you intentionally chip away at the polish. My advice? Do your best to avoid that.
Is Dazzle Dry Worth It?
Yes, Dazzle Dry is worth it. At the risk of sounding overdramatic, Dazzle Dry is the one manicure product I would bring with me to a desert island. I like how their products all build on each other to strengthen your nails. I also like how there are tons of polish colors, ranging from classic solids to playful glitter options. If I had to pick between Dazzle Dry and Olive and June quick-drying products, I think y’all know exactly which one I’d pick. (And yes, it’s Dazzle Dry.)
